What these credentials cover
Five notes on what each exam actually tested, why an expired badge from 2016 still sits on the page, and how to verify any credential here at the issuer rather than taking a screenshot on trust.
AWS Solutions Architect Professional
This is the exam that maps closest to the work. It runs three hours and almost everything on it is a scenario rather than a fact: multi-account landing zones, the order you migrate things in, cost decisions that are expensive to reverse once traffic is on them. I passed it in May 2026. Most of what it asked about I had already argued through on real platforms, so the studying was mostly about learning the names AWS gives to patterns I had been building without them.
AWS AI Practitioner
Narrower and much shorter. It checks that you can tell a foundation model from a fine-tuned one, size a Bedrock workload, pick between prompt engineering and retrieval, and say where the responsible-AI controls belong. That is useful ground to stand on when a client asks whether their support inbox should be answered by a model, because the honest answer usually depends on what happens when it is wrong.
Associate and Cloud Practitioner
Both predate the Professional. They stay on this page because AWS rolls the expiry of lower-tier certifications forward when you pass a higher one, so all three now run to the same 2029 date. The 2016 Associate below them is a separate credential from an earlier stretch of work and it genuinely expired in 2019. It stays listed with the expired label rather than quietly disappearing, because a credentials page that only ever shows current badges tells you nothing about how long someone has been doing this.
The Anthropic badges are coursework, not exams
Six of the badges here come from Anthropic’s Skilljar courses: Claude Code, Cowork, and the AI Fluency material. They are completion credentials, not proctored certifications, and they are labelled that way on purpose. I worked through them because a real share of my delivery work now runs through agentic tooling, and I would rather know its failure modes from a course than find them halfway through an engagement.
How to check any of this
Every AWS badge links to Credly and every Anthropic badge to Skilljar. Each one carries an issue date and a credential id that resolves on the issuer’s own site. Nothing on this page is a screenshot of a certificate. The Cloud Quest entries are training achievements rather than certifications and sit in their own group for that reason. Recertification runs on a three-year cycle: the Professional is next due in 2029, and passing it again pulls the Associate and Cloud Practitioner dates along with it.
